Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Transportation Coordinator to join our team at Providence Service. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for transporting geriatric, frail, and physically limited ElderPlace participants to and from their destinations in regular or specially equipped vehicles, depending on their individual needs.

Key Responsibilities
  • Transport participants to and from their destinations in a safe and timely manner
  • Provide exceptional customer service and ensure the comfort and safety of participants during transportation
  • Collaborate with healthcare professionals to ensure the transportation needs of participants are met
  • Maintain accurate records of transportation activities and participant information
  • Participate in ongoing training and education to stay up-to-date on transportation best practices and participant care
Requirements
  • 5 years of driving experience
  • Successful completion of defensive driving and passenger assistance training courses within 90 days of hire
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Excellent communication and customer service skills
  • Ability to lift and move participants as needed
Preferred Qualifications
  • 2 years of experience transporting people with special needs
  • 1 year of experience in transporting individuals with special mobility needs
  • Education to meet certification, license, or registration requirements
