About the Role:
The primary function of this position is to safely collect samples of aggregates, hot mix, asphalt, and concrete, evaluate and test samples, and record testing results. You will work closely with QC staff, Plant Operators, and Job Supervisors to ensure that all materials meet project specifications and quality requirements.
Key Responsibilities:
* Collection of aggregate samples, hot mix, asphalt, and concrete.
* Testing and recording of samples.
* Evaluation of test results as compared to project specifications and quality requirements.
* Assistance in the review/audit process of QC results obtained.
* Maintenance of lab sites and equipment.
Requirements:
* Understanding of specific project specifications and quality requirements.
* Ability to interpret and conduct project-specific testing requirements.
* Organizational skills and ability to work independently.
* Strong communication skills and ability to work well under pressure.
* Prior construction materials testing experience preferred.
* Associate's degree or comparable experience strongly preferred.
Compensation and Benefits:
This is a full-time position with a competitive salary range of $60,000 - $80,000 per year, depending on experience. We also offer a comprehensive benefits package, including medical, dental, and vision insurance, 401(k) matching, and paid time off.
Work Environment:
This role requires regular travel to different job sites in West and North Texas. You must have a valid driver's license and be able to lift objects up to 80 pounds.
