Youth Consultation Services is seeking a skilled and compassionate Nurse to join our multidisciplinary team at the Holley Center Residential Program. As a Shift Nurse, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality care to adolescents in our residential treatment facility.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assessment and Treatment Planning: Conduct thorough assessments of the physical condition of youth in the program, integrating findings into their treatment plans under the direction of the medical director or psychiatrist.
- Medication Management: Provide education and support to direct care staff on medication administration and potential side effects, under the direction of the medical director or other physician.
- Quality Assurance: Implement and maintain the quality assurance program to ensure the highest standards of care.
- Nursing Assessment and Reporting: Conduct nursing assessments and provide reports within the first 24 hours of admission.
- Initial Treatment and Safety Planning: Consult with youth and their families to develop initial treatment and safety plans within the first 24 hours and weekly thereafter.
- Medication Dispensing: Dispense medications daily, ensuring accurate and timely administration.
- Health Education: Provide weekly health education sessions to youth, covering topics such as environmental health, physical health, social health, emotional health, intellectual health, and spiritual health.
- Medication Education: Offer monthly medication education sessions to ensure youth and their families understand medication regimens.
- Debriefing and Treatment Team Meetings: Participate in daily debriefing sessions and monthly treatment team meetings to ensure comprehensive care.
Requirements:
- Licensure: Current NJ Registered Nurse (RN) license.
- Experience: One year of direct care nursing experience with children.
Schedule:
Part-time, 8 hours per week, Sunday 3pm-11pm, with opportunities for additional per diem shifts.
