At Killeen Independent School District, we are seeking a highly skilled Occupational Therapist to join our team. In this role, you will work closely with students with disabilities to develop and implement occupational therapy services that enhance their classroom performance.
The successful candidate will be responsible for:
- Complying with Texas Occupational Therapy Practice Act guidelines to ensure the delivery of high-quality services.
- Organizing and implementing occupational therapy services and supports that cater to the unique needs of our students.
- Maintaining accurate and detailed documentation of supervisee session notes, as well as ensuring timely approval.
- Providing direct occupational therapy intervention for students and groups, as per their Individualized Education Programs (IEPs).
- Collaborating with school personnel, guardians, and agencies to ensure seamless coordination of student needs.
- Supervising occupational therapy assistants and overseeing their responsibilities.
To be successful in this role, you will require:
- A Bachelor's degree in Occupational Therapy from an accredited institution.
- A valid Texas Board of Occupational Therapy Examiners License as an Occupational Therapist.
This role requires the ability to:
- Regularly communicate with students, staff, and guardians.
- Frequently walk, reach, and use hands to manipulate objects.
- Occasionally stand, sit, use hands to finger, handle, or feel, and stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl.
