About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Maintenance Director to join our team at Ekeo Group. As a key member of our operations team, you will be responsible for leading a broad range of services that support our plant-wide maintenance and production organizations.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead Tactical Maintenance: Direct and supervise the maintenance staff to ensure that all maintenance activities are carried out in a safe and efficient manner.
  • Develop Annual Plans and Objectives: Collaborate with the staff to develop and implement annual plans, objectives, and key performance indicators (KPIs) that align with the company's overall goals and vision.
  • Establish Performance Metrics: Develop and implement a process to monitor, track, and achieve annual goals and objectives.
  • Hold Team Accountable: Ensure that the team is held accountable for achieving objectives through the performance management process and system.
  • Develop Business Presentations: Create business presentations that illustrate the department's performance and plans to drive improvements where gaps exist.
  • Develop Business Proposals: Develop and submit business proposals as needed to support business goals and objectives.
  • Build Relationships: Foster close working relationships with peers across the organization, including Area Managers, Lead Area Managers, and Maintenance Department Managers.
Requirements
  • Education: Bachelor's degree in Business, Finance, or Engineering.
  • Experience: Minimum of five years of experience in machine repair, maintenance management, and manufacturing industry. Minimum of three years as a department manager, including direct supervision of salaried staff and responsibility for hourly craft employees.
  • Skills: Strong communication and interpersonal skills, ability to lead organizational change, and ability to identify and implement cost reduction initiatives.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Post-Graduate Degree: Post-graduate degree in Business, Finance, or Manufacturing Engineering.
  • Experience: Five years of experience managing and controlling plant-wide budgets that exceed $50M annually, with demonstrated performance in achieving cost reduction targets.
  • Leadership Experience: Three years of experience leading contractual negotiations with manufacturing unions.
