The RN Sanction Specialist will be responsible for overseeing and directing all activities associated with the CMS Sanction process. This role requires experience in maintaining compliance with EMTALA regulations.
Key Responsibilities:- Maintain lines of communication between BFCC QIO and involved healthcare providers
- Produce written Initial and Final Sanction Notices and EMTALA communications
- Maintain case files with all supporting documentation
- Monitor provider Corrective Action Plans (CAP) and provide technical assistance for developing and refining CAP
- Provide monthly summaries for COR reports
- Produce written OIG referrals, if necessary
- Review all EMTALA referrals
- Facilitate Sanction and 60-day EMTALA hearings
