Job Summary

Dignity Health is seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Registered Nurse to join our Intensive Care Unit (ICU) team at Northridge Hospital Medical Center. As a critical care nurse, you will play a vital role in providing exceptional patient care and contributing to the success of our hospital.

Responsibilities

• Provide high-quality patient care in the ICU, utilizing your clinical expertise and knowledge of evidence-based practices.
• Collaborate with the interdisciplinary healthcare team to develop and implement individualized care plans that meet the unique needs of each patient.
• Conduct hourly rounds with patients and their families, focusing on pain management, skin integrity, and other essential patient needs.
• Administer medications and assess patient responses, initiating appropriate interventions as needed.
• Serve as a resource for new personnel and nursing students, providing guidance and support to ensure their success in the ICU.
• Participate in quality improvement initiatives and contribute to the development of policies and procedures that enhance patient care and safety.

Requirements

• Minimum one year of current acute care registered nursing experience in a specialty area, preferably in the ICU.
• Current certification in a specialty area, such as CCRN or TNCC, is preferred.
• Experience with electronic health records (EHRs) and other relevant technologies is also preferred.
• Registered Nurse with current California License required.
• Current AHA BLS card and ACLS EKG competency required.
• LA City Fire Care certification required within 90 days of hire.
