Job Summary

The Occupational Therapist is responsible for evaluating, coordinating, and administering occupational therapy services to patients. This includes providing written evaluations, developing treatment plans, and carrying out techniques to achieve identified goals and treatment programs.

Responsibilities
  • Provide occupational therapy services as prescribed by physicians
  • Follow policies and procedures, and conform to all applicable patient care standards, licensure regulations, and state laws
  • Participate in coordination of services, including discharge planning, with healthcare teams, physicians, parents/guardians, nurses, and others
  • Administer care to ensure patient safety
  • Update self on patient clinical condition
  • Maintain effective communication between staff, healthcare team members, and family
Requirements
  • Occupational Therapy Master's Degree from an accredited university/program
  • Certification in Occupational Therapy
  • Current and unrestricted license in the state of practice
  • Current CPR certification
  • Demonstrated proficiency in clinical assessments, documentation, and compliance with nursing care and policies and procedures
Preferred Qualifications
  • One (1) year of recent experience as an Occupational Therapist in an acute care setting
  • Pediatric experience
