Job Summary

ATC Oakland County is seeking a highly skilled Juvenile Detention Specialist to join our team in a correctional facility. As a key member of our security and custody team, you will be responsible for the supervision and care of youth residents in the Wayne County Juvenile Detention Facility.

Key Responsibilities
  • Supervise and instruct youth in personal hygiene, housekeeping, and special detail work
  • Counsel delinquent youth on immediate behavioral problems
  • Responsible for documentation of youth activities and behavior
  • Cooperate with Family Independence Agency and internal investigations
Requirements
  • Associates degree or 60 semester hours
  • 1 year of experience in corrections, law enforcement, education, or related field
  • Valid State of Michigan driver's license and safe driving record
Preferred Qualifications
  • 1 year of experience in corrections, law enforcement, or related field
  • Basic computer proficiency, including Microsoft Office and spreadsheets
