Paramedic Specialist

We are seeking a highly skilled Paramedic to join our team at AMR. As a Paramedic, you will be responsible for providing high-quality emergency medical care and patient transport in a compassionate manner.

• Assess each call situation to determine the best course of action and appropriate protocol.
• Utilize medical equipment and procedures, including defibrillators, EKG monitors, oxygen, and suction devices, to provide advanced medical care.
• Develop and utilize triage skills to provide optimal efficiency during calls.
• Provide patient care according to clinical protocols and safety requirements.
• Lift and move patients as required to provide optimum care.
• Communicate with receiving facilities to receive medical direction and provide critical information.

• High school diploma or equivalent (GED)
• CA Drivers' License
• Ambulance Driver's License (from DMV)
• Medical Examiner's Card or DL51 (from DMV)
• State of California Paramedic License
• CPR Card (American Heart Association ONLY, Health Care Provider)
• ACLS Card (American Heart Association ONLY)
• PALS (American Heart Association ONLY) OR PEPP (for Riverside & Ventura Co. applicants)
• Driving record in compliance with AMR Safety and Driving policy
• ICS courses (IS-100B, IS-200B, IS-700A, IS-800B)
• Some past work experience in healthcare desired
