Job Title: Senior Software Test Engineer

Are you a skilled software test engineer looking for a challenging role in a dynamic team? We are seeking a Senior Software Test Engineer to join our team at Fidelity Information Services. In this role, you will be responsible for developing and implementing automated test scripts, performing usability testing, and communicating testing activities and findings to the team.



As a Senior Software Test Engineer, you will work closely with our development team to ensure that our software products meet the highest quality standards. You will be responsible for developing and maintaining test scripts, performing testing, and identifying and reporting defects. You will also be responsible for collaborating with the development team to ensure that our software products meet the requirements of our customers.



We are looking for a highly skilled and experienced software test engineer who can work independently and as part of a team. You will have a strong understanding of software testing principles and practices, and be able to communicate effectively with technical and non-technical stakeholders.



Key Responsibilities:




  • Develop and implement automated test scripts using tools such as Selenium and JUnit
  • Perform usability testing to ensure that our software products meet the highest quality standards
  • Communicate testing activities and findings to the team and stakeholders
  • Collaborate with the development team to ensure that our software products meet the requirements of our customers
  • Identify and report defects and provide recommendations for improvement
  • Develop and maintain test scripts and test data
  • Perform other related duties as assigned


Requirements:




  • 4+ years of experience in software testing
  • Strong understanding of software testing principles and practices
  • Experience with automated testing tools such as Selenium and JUnit
  • Experience with Java and IntelliJ IDEA or Eclipse development
  • API testing experience using tools such as Rest Assured and Postman
  • BDD testing experience using tools such as Cucumber
  • Experience with database testing using SQL commands
  • Experience with shift-left approach to QA
  • Leading a team technically on delivery aspect
  • Understanding of all Scrum ceremonies and their values
  • Ability to lead team during conflicts and lead technical discussion to resolution
  • Strong expertise in converting feature requirements to user stories and test cases; writing automated regression tests; designing and testing software for functionality, scalability, and reliability
  • Ability to drive automation responsibilities across the team
  • Experience with practical test pyramids; Continuous Delivery; strong knowledge of build tools
  • Have a strong knowledge of software architecture and industry design patterns pertaining to testing
