Job Overview

The Facility Maintenance Mechanic plays a crucial role in supporting the Facility Maintenance Team throughout the project lifecycle. Under the guidance of the Facility Maintenance Supervisor, this position is responsible for ensuring that maintenance tasks are executed efficiently and within designated timeframes. The mechanic will diagnose issues affecting the proper functioning of equipment, machinery, tools, and facility systems. Responsibilities include disassembling, adjusting, repairing, or replacing components, followed by reassembling process equipment and systems. Regular inspections of equipment and facilities will be conducted in accordance with operational manuals and standard maintenance protocols. Participation in preventative maintenance initiatives is also expected.

Key Responsibilities

Leadership

Management
  • Oversee maintenance and coordination of process equipment, ensuring compliance with operational requirements until equipment is ready for turnover to the project owner.
Scheduling
  • Organize and prioritize work schedules using PM system reports and work orders from the Maintenance Supervisor.

Physical Requirements
  • Ability to work in an active outdoor construction environment.
  • Capability to ascend and descend ladders, stairs, and work in confined spaces near loud equipment.
  • Must navigate irregular and steep terrain.
  • Willingness to work in various weather conditions and be exposed to dust.
  • Compliance with personal protective equipment requirements while on duty.
  • Ability to lift and carry 25 lbs regularly and 50 lbs occasionally.
  • Capacity to stand for extended periods.
