Key Responsibilities:
  • Collaborate with the Raytheon systems engineering and subcontractor teams to design and develop software.
  • Assist in providing technical direction and clarification to subcontractors during the entire software development lifecycle.
  • Perform solution decomposition from customer epics to capabilities, features, and stories according to SAFe practices.
  • Apply systems engineering expertise to feature designs to reduce overall risk to the software development lifecycle.
  • Engage with customer user representatives to gather user needs and incorporate into feature designs.
  • Engage with SMEs from other disciplines to fully understand the solution and document the designs.
Requirements:
  • Typically requires a degree in Science, Technology, Engineering, or Mathematics (STEM) and a minimum of 5 years of prior relevant experience, unless prohibited by local laws/regulations.
  • Active and transferable TS/SCI U.S. government-issued security clearance is required prior to start date. U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are eligible for a security clearance.
  • Experience working in an Agile development team environment with multi-discipline engineers and stakeholders, developing system solutions to meet customer requirements.
  • Experience managing or guiding teams addressing solution definition, decomposition, and design.
  • Experience performing design with cross-disciplined engineering teams.
  • Experience with the software development lifecycle.
  • Experience with EVMS basic processes and utilizing software development automation (Build, Deploy, Test).
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Broad background and experience successfully working with all levels of engineering development in large government software development programs, as well as an individual contributor as part of an Agile development team.
  • Extensive engineering experience working in the full software development lifecycle using Agile methodology, ensuring high-quality software is built and released to end-users quickly and within cost and schedule parameters.
  • Experience using Agile tool sets (JIRA, Confluence, Bitbucket, etc.) and evaluation of COTS products.
  • Experience with subcontract management processes.

This position requires a security clearance. DCSA Consolidated Adjudication Services (DCSA), an agency of the Department of Defense, handles and adjudicates the security clearance process.
