Interim HealthCare of West Michigan is a locally owned and operated leader in post-acute care services in the region. Your time can make a significant difference.
We are currently in search of Hospice Companion Volunteers to contribute to our expanding Hospice Division.
This is a volunteer position without compensation.
Your Role as a Volunteer
- Engage with your patient through reading, sharing smiles, listening to their life stories, enjoying music, watching favorite shows, or playing card games.
- If you prefer an administrative role, we offer opportunities at our Corporate Hospice office for support as part of the office team.
- This role is flexible, and any time you can offer is valued and will be accommodated.

Volunteer Responsibilities
- Complete the official application and background check form after being contacted.
- Engage in an interview process.
- Attend initial volunteer training and orientation.
- Dedicate time to serving your assigned patient or fulfilling administrative tasks.
- Maintain consistent communication with your Volunteer Coordinator.
- Document activities in the Electronic Medical Record (EMR).
Volunteer Requirements
- Must be at least 18 years old.
- Possess reliable transportation, a valid state driver's license, and current car insurance.
- Exhibit kindness, compassion, reliability, and emotional stability.
