Job Title: HVAC Journeyman

Job Summary:
The Choctaw-Nicoma Park Public School District is seeking a skilled HVAC Journeyman to join our maintenance team. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for performing a variety of tasks related to the installation, maintenance, and repair of heating, ventilation, and air conditioning systems in our schools and facilities.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Perform routine maintenance and repairs on HVAC systems, including troubleshooting and diagnosing issues.
  • Install, replace, and repair HVAC equipment, including ductwork and piping.
  • Conduct energy audits and make recommendations for energy-efficient upgrades.
  • Work with other maintenance staff to ensure timely completion of tasks and projects.
  • Develop and maintain a working knowledge of local building codes, regulations, and laws related to HVAC systems.
  • Provide excellent customer service to district staff and students.

Requirements:
  • High School Diploma or equivalent.
  • Current Oklahoma license for motor vehicles.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and prioritize tasks effectively.
  • Excellent communication and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to lift up to 100 pounds and work at heights.

Working Conditions:
The work environment will vary depending on the task or project. You may work in confined spaces, at heights, or in outdoor weather conditions. You will be exposed to fumes, dust, and other airborne particles. You will also work near moving mechanical parts and be at risk of electrical shock. The noise level will vary from moderate to loud.

Supervisory Responsibilities:
This position may supervise trainees or apprentices in the HVAC trade area. You will be responsible for providing guidance and support to help them develop their skills and knowledge.
