Job Summary

As a Trained Medication Aide at Minnewaska Lutheran Home, you will play a vital role in ensuring the delivery of high-quality care to our residents. You will work closely with our nursing team to administer medications, perform treatments, and provide support with daily living activities.

Key Responsibilities
  • Administer medications according to established policies and procedures
  • Perform resident treatments as trained
  • Make rounds periodically on each resident on your team
  • Refer residents needing assessment or special monitoring to a nurse
  • Assist with admission, transfer, and discharge responsibilities
  • Attend required in-services and staff meetings
  • May perform routine blood sugar checking
Qualifications

To be successful in this role, you will need to have completed a Trained Medication Aide course and possess the necessary skills and knowledge to administer medications and provide nursing care. You will also need to be able to read, write, and speak English, and have a valid background study form.
