As a Cardiovascular and Transplant Patient Care Technician at Trinity Health, you will play a vital role in providing exceptional patient care and support to our patients and families. You will work closely with our healthcare team to ensure that our patients receive the highest level of care and compassion.
Responsibilities:
- Assist with direct patient care procedures, including setting up and priming IV tubing, 12-lead ECG, and simple tracheostomy suctioning and care.
- Perform cardiopulmonary resuscitation and obtain wound and throat cultures as needed.
- Assist with ambulating patients with assistive devices and with transfer/transport procedures.
- Communicate effectively with patients, families, and healthcare team members to ensure seamless care coordination.
- Maintain strict confidentiality of patient, employee, and department information to ensure patient rights.
Requirements:
- High School Diploma or equivalent required; Certified Nurse Assistant (CNA) certification and Basic Life Support (BLS) certification through the American Heart Association (AHA) preferred.
- Less than one year of previous job-related experience required; 1-2 years of experience preferred.
