License/Certifications:
Brakes, Diesel Engines, and Preventive Maintenance Inspection
Work Location:

Preferred Technical Experience:
A Commercial Driver's License (CDL) is NOT required
5 years of relevant experience with documented formal training
Ability to interpret pneumatic and electrical schematics
Preventative maintenance on all equipment (3+ Years)
Experience in Tractor and Trailer maintenance (3+ Years)
Electrical troubleshooting and maintenance (3+ Years)
Brake Systems (Brake Certification)
Air systems
Bodywork (panels, frame, doors, etc.)
Welding and fabrication skills
Must possess basic tools
Fluid power systems
Hydraulic controls
Mechanical troubleshooting capabilities (3+ Years)
Electrical experience (3+ Years)
Diesel engine repair expertise (3+ Years)
Basic computer skills
Able to diagnose and resolve repairs independently and efficiently
Ability to identify warranty issues
Additional Responsibilities:
Participate in all training and team meetings
Engage in continuous improvement initiatives
Maintain a clean work environment
Other duties as assigned by management

As a Fleet Technician, you will be responsible for maintaining and repairing our vehicles, diagnosing mechanical issues, managing parts inventory, and charging parts and labor to work orders. Here are some *frequent tasks* you can expect to perform:
  • Assist entry-level mechanics with complex repairs using your extensive knowledge.
  • Build relationships with vendors for parts and labor estimates.
  • Interact with a variety of Frito-Lay drivers, from professional truck drivers to sales personnel.
  • Perform physical tasks that may involve working in confined spaces under vehicles.
This is an experienced position. Here are our minimum requirements for you to consider prior to applying:
  • Must be at least 18 years of age
  • Willingness to work weekends, holidays, and off shifts as needed
  • Ability to lift 50 pounds or more with or without reasonable accommodation
  • Capable of climbing, bending, reaching, stooping, kneeling, and stretching for extended periods with or without reasonable accommodation
  • Able to work in tight spaces for extended periods with or without reasonable accommodation
  • Required to work on/under trucks for an entire shift (8 to 12 hours) with or without reasonable accommodation
