Nurse - Acute Care Float Pool

Penn State Health is seeking a skilled and compassionate Registered Nurse (RN) to join our Acute Care Float Pool team. As a Staff Nurse, you will have the opportunity to work in a dynamic and fast-paced environment, providing high-quality patient care to a diverse population.
Job Summary:The Staff Nurse, RN is responsible for assessing, planning, implementing, and evaluating nursing care to a designated group of patients. You will establish goals and priorities of nursing care, develop a written plan of nursing care, and document patient progress. You will work collaboratively with the medical staff in matters of patient care.
Responsibilities:- Assess patients' physical and emotional needs, and develop individualized care plans.
- Implement and evaluate nursing care, including administering medications, performing procedures, and providing education to patients and families.
- Collaborate with the medical staff to ensure comprehensive and coordinated care.
- Document patient progress, including vital signs, medications, and treatment plans.
- Participate in quality improvement initiatives and contribute to a culture of excellence.
- Current licensure as a Registered Nurse in the state of employment or a multistate RN license through the interstate Nurse Licensure Compact.
- AHA BLS certification prior to the end of the orientation period.
