Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Safety Director to join our team at the Steel Erectors Association. As a key member of our organization, you will be responsible for developing and implementing workplace safety policies and procedures in accordance with OSHA standards.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement comprehensive safety policies and procedures to ensure a safe working environment for all employees.
  • Conduct regular safety audits and inspections to identify potential hazards and implement corrective actions.
  • Provide training and education to employees on safety protocols and procedures.
  • Investigate and document workplace accidents and incidents, and implement corrective actions to prevent future occurrences.
  • Collaborate with management and employees to identify and mitigate risks associated with workplace operations.
  • Develop and maintain relationships with regulatory agencies and industry partners to stay up-to-date on the latest safety standards and best practices.
  • Prepare and submit reports to management and regulatory agencies as required.
Requirements
  • OSHA 500 and 510 certifications.
  • Possess or obtain within first year of employment a BCSP Certification (CSP, ASP or CHST).
  • Valid driver's license and qualify for company insurance.
  • Ability to travel to job sites and work at heights of 30 feet or greater.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work effectively in a team environment.
  • Effective problem-solving and mediation skills.
