Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Physician (Psychiatrist) to join our team at the US Veterans Health Administration. As a key member of our Behavioral Health team, you will provide high-quality psychiatric services to our nation's veterans, including evaluations, diagnoses, treatment recommendations, and management of mental health conditions.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide comprehensive psychiatric services, including evaluations, diagnoses, and treatment recommendations for adult and geriatric patients with mental health conditions.
  • Develop and implement individualized treatment plans, including pharmacological, behavioral, and psychotherapeutic interventions.
  • Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to ensure comprehensive care for our veterans.
  • Participate in quality improvement initiatives to enhance patient care and outcomes.
  • Stay up-to-date with the latest research and best practices in psychiatric care.
Requirements
  • Doctor of Medicine (M.D.) or Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine (D.O.) degree from an accredited medical school.
  • Completion of a psychiatric residency program or equivalent experience.
  • Current, full, and unrestricted license to practice medicine in a State, Territory, or Commonwealth of the United States, or in the District of Columbia.
  • Board certification in psychiatry or eligibility for board certification.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
