Position: Production Lead (12:30 PM to 9:00 PM)

Compensation: $18 per hour + $1.50 Shift Differential

Bilingual Candidates Preferred

Position Summary:

The Production Lead is tasked with overseeing various production responsibilities. This role involves providing operational guidance and fostering collaboration across logistics, warehousing, procurement, and production sectors. The individual will drive continuous improvement initiatives and devise strategies for ongoing enhancement.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Establish and achieve effective objectives for the production team.
  • Maintain a safe, clean, and organized work environment.
  • Address initial operational challenges and escalate to the Production Supervisor or Manager as needed.
  • Evaluate staffing schedules daily to ensure completion of all production tasks.
  • Ensure compliance with food safety and sanitation standards.
  • Guarantee that production practices align with Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP).
  • Adhere to all standard operating procedures.
  • Ensure compliance with OSHA safety regulations in all production activities.
  • Facilitate training for new team members on the production floor.
  • Communicate effectively with supervisors regarding production timelines and customer requirements.
  • Monitor the status of assigned production areas.
  • Operate forklifts for material handling.
  • Utilize handheld scanning devices and inventory management systems regularly.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
  • Punctuality and self-motivation are essential.
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment.
  • Demonstrated capability to manage, direct, and develop team members.
  • Strong communication skills across various functions within the organization.
  • Proficient in computer applications including MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, and the Internet.
  • Physical ability to meet job requirements, including walking, standing, stooping, and climbing.
  • Capability to lift up to 60 pounds multiple times a day, following safety protocols.
  • Attention to detail and high expectations for team performance.
  • Ability to work in an environment that handles allergens such as wheat, soy, egg, and milk.
  • Comfortable working in open settings with strong odors and varying temperatures.
Education and Experience:
  • Minimum of 1 year of management experience in a manufacturing setting.
  • High School Diploma or GED preferred.
