We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Registered Nurse to join our Medical ICU team at Christus Health. As a critical care nurse, you will provide high-quality patient care, work collaboratively with interdisciplinary teams, and contribute to the development of long-term care plans.
Responsibilities- Provide routine and complex care to patients in the Medical ICU, utilizing your expertise in critical care nursing to ensure optimal patient outcomes.
- Develop and implement individualized care plans, taking into account patient needs, preferences, and goals.
- Collaborate with healthcare teams to coordinate patient care, communicate effectively, and ensure seamless transitions.
- Participate in quality improvement initiatives, contributing to the development and implementation of evidence-based practices.
- Stay up-to-date with the latest clinical guidelines, research, and best practices in critical care nursing.
- Bachelor of Science Degree in Nursing, preferred.
- At least 3 years of RN experience in Medical Surgical or Critical Care.
- BLS certification required.
- RN License in the state of employment or compact.
- Current PALS, ACLS, TNCC, ENPC, and Moderate Sedation certifications (as applicable).
- De-escalation training and Arrhythmia recognition certification.
- NIHSS certification.
