Williamson Health is seeking a highly skilled Physical Therapist Assistant to join our team in the Bone and Joint Rehabilitation Services department. As a Physical Therapist Assistant, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality patient care and contributing to the success of our rehabilitation services.
Key Responsibilities- Conduct physical therapy interventions to reduce pain, restore function, promote mobility, and prevent disability following disease, injury, or accident.
- Work collaboratively with physical therapists to provide patient-centered care and achieve established short- and long-term goals.
- Provide instruction and motivation to patients, promoting fitness and wellness-oriented programs to enhance health and well-being.
- Document patient care and progress in a timely and thorough manner, ensuring accurate and complete charting and billing processes.
- Participate in interdisciplinary team rehabilitation settings, working effectively with physicians, physician assistants, medical assistants, nurse practitioners, technicians, athletic trainers, and physical and occupational therapists.
- Graduate of an accredited Physical Therapist Assistant program.
- Current and active license in the state of Tennessee.
- Prior experience in outpatient and/or sports medicine physical therapy.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment, prioritizing tasks and managing time and caseloads efficiently.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work collaboratively with patients, families, and healthcare teams.
- Outpatient rehabilitation care in a multidisciplinary team rehabilitation setting.
- May be exposed to risk of blood-borne pathogens/diseases.
- Prolonged standing, walking, and frequent lifting, positioning, transferring, and pushing patients.
