Product Engineer

At Rutledge Group Resources, Inc, we are seeking a highly skilled Product Engineer to join our manufacturing team. As a key member of our team, you will play a critical role in the overall success of our manufacturing operations by applying your technical expertise to drive process improvements and product development.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement manufacturing specifications and processes for new and existing product lines.
  • Support the integration of our ERP system into our manufacturing environment, ensuring seamless data flow and process efficiency.
  • Assess and contribute to manufacturing capital projects, including development of SOWs, ROI analyses, and presentations to management.
  • Apply Lean principles to design workflows and improve manufacturing throughput, driving continuous improvement and efficiency.
  • Aid in the development, maintenance, and sustainment of our 3D CAD product design library, ensuring accurate and up-to-date product information.
  • Collaborate with quality engineering teams to develop and test procedures for new and existing products, ensuring compliance with industry standards.
  • Support the creation of new product WIs and handoffs from design to production, ensuring smooth transitions and minimal disruptions.
  • Establish standards and processes for product and material digitization and cataloging, ensuring accurate and efficient data management.
  • Work closely with operations management and plant employees to understand manufacturing capabilities and needs, driving collaborative solutions and improvements.
  • Participate in industry conferences and events to stay up-to-date on the latest manufacturing trends and best practices.

Requirements:

  • BS degree in engineering, plus 4-6 years of experience in manufacturing or a related field.
  • ERP and Lean experience a plus.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with ability to work independently and collaboratively as part of a team.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with ability to effectively communicate with cross-functional teams and stakeholders.
  • Proficient in applicable engineering and design software, with ability to learn new tools and technologies as needed.
