Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Insurance Defense Attorney to join our team at US Lloyds Insurance Company. As a key member of our legal team, you will be responsible for representing our policyholders in complex civil litigation matters involving claims for monetary damages for personal injuries and property damage of mid to high level exposure.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage the Entire Legal Process
    • Investigate and conduct research to develop appropriate legal strategies for all stages of litigation
    • Prepare and negotiate settlements as required
  • Develop and Share Legal Strategies
    • Research and analyze all applicable laws and findings
    • Develop and share legal strategies with claims representatives and insured clients
  • Establish and Maintain Relationships
    • Establish and maintain good relationships with claims reps and clients
    • Conduct training sessions for Legal, Claims or other departments
  • Communicate Effectively
    • Develop and render clear, unambiguous legal opinions and strategies
    • Draft legal documents, pleadings, motions and opinions

Requirements

  • Membership in the Texas Bar
  • Successful Experience as First and Second Chair
  • Experience in Insurance Defense Strongly Preferred

  • Persuasive Oral and Written Communication Skills

Education

  • A JD Degree
