Job Summary

As a Clinical Psychologist at Kaiser Permanente, you will play a vital role in providing mental health assessment, diagnosis, and treatment services to adult and child members. You will collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to develop and implement individualized treatment plans, ensuring the best possible outcomes for our patients.

Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct comprehensive psychological assessments, including test administration and interpretation, to diagnose and treat a range of mental health conditions.
  • Develop and implement individualized treatment plans, incorporating evidence-based practices and tailoring interventions to meet the unique needs of each patient.
  • Provide psychotherapy services to individuals, couples, families, and groups, using a variety of modalities, including cognitive-behavioral therapy and psychodynamic therapy.
  • Collaborate with physicians and other healthcare professionals to ensure comprehensive care and coordination of services.
  • Participate in staff conferences and multidisciplinary team meetings to discuss patient progress and develop treatment plans.
Requirements
  • PhD/PsyD/EdD in Clinical Counseling, Health, or School Psychology from an accredited college or university.
  • Psychologist License (California) within 6 months of hire.
  • National Provider Identifier required at hire.
  • Knowledge of DSM-V and evidence-based practices in mental health treatment.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with diverse populations and healthcare teams.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Previous clinical experience in mental health assessment, diagnosis, and treatment.
  • Experience with psychological testing and assessment batteries.
  • Knowledge of behavioral medicine and health psychology principles.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment and prioritize multiple tasks and responsibilities.
