Role Summary
As the Pharmacy Drug Use Policy (DUP) Manager, you will engage with a multidisciplinary team, including medical staff, nursing, and pharmacy professionals, to develop, maintain, and implement drug use policies, protocols, and initiatives. You will also oversee drug information services and the Antimicrobial Stewardship Program.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Managing the Drug Use Policy team, which consists of 6 Drug Use Policy Specialists and 3 Antimicrobial Stewardship Pharmacists.
- Strategic planning for biologics and therapeutic advancements.
- Collaborating with medical staff to create evidence-based guidelines.
- Evaluating new medications for formulary inclusion.
- Preparing content for Pharmacy & Therapeutics Committee meetings.
- Addressing complex therapeutic issues and overseeing targeted drug programs.
Qualifications
Educational Background:
- Pharm.D. or equivalent degree from an accredited pharmacy school in the USA.
- Post-graduate residency training or equivalent experience is preferred.
- Board certification in pharmacology is preferred.
Licensure/Certification Requirements:
- Current pharmacist licensure in California.
- Board certification in pharmacology is preferred.
- BLS certification.
Desired Skills:
- Strong clinical expertise.
- Preferred experience in Drug Use Policy.
