Position Overview
Under the guidance of the RN Unit Manager / Director of Nursing, a Practical Nursing Specialist (LPN) performs as a licensed caregiver, taking responsibility and accountability for assigned residents/patients during their shift. Nursing care is delivered through the coordination, implementation, and assessment of the resident's/patient's care plan. The LPN adheres to established care standards, manages the environment to ensure resident/patient safety, and oversees the performance of nursing assistants in resident/patient care activities. Compliance with all Center policies and procedures is mandatory, along with adherence to the State Nurse Practice Act.
This role requires a commitment to work a minimum of 8 shifts and a maximum of 10 shifts per month, including summer and winter holidays.
Qualifications
Essential Education and Experience
• Licensed as an LPN in the State
• Current CPR certification is required
• Proficient in using necessary medical supplies and equipment (feeding pumps, oxygen, treatment trays, medication cart, etc.)
• Ability to calculate medication dosages accurately
• Compliance with all health requirements mandated by law
• Strong interpersonal skills to interact positively and effectively with residents, families, community members, volunteers, and other staff
• Proficient in reading, writing, speaking, and understanding English; basic computer skills are essential with a willingness to learn company applications
Preferred Qualifications
• Experience in a fast-paced healthcare environment
• Previous experience in post-acute care settings is advantageous
