Position Overview

The Clinical Nursing Supervisor is responsible for overseeing a designated area of patient care services. This role involves active participation in leadership functions and collaboration with other leaders and medical professionals to design and deliver high-quality patient care and services. The Supervisor effectively allocates resources to ensure safe, efficient, and compassionate nursing care, while also providing insights into executive-level decisions and keeping the nursing staff informed of organizational activities.

Key Responsibilities
  • Directs patient care staff to foster quality nursing services and a culture of safety.
  • Ensures adherence to consistent nursing standards in the delivery of care.
  • Participates in the Nursing Leadership Council, offering clinical insights on various issues.
  • Acts as an advocate for both staff and patients, ensuring their needs are met.
  • Coordinates patient care within the defined area of responsibility, following established standards.
Qualifications

Education: A Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing (BSN) is required; a Master’s degree in Nursing or a related healthcare field is preferred.

Experience: Prior experience in Nursing Leadership is essential.

Certifications: Certification in Nursing Administration or a relevant specialty is required.

Licensure: Must be a Registered Nurse currently licensed in the State of Florida.

Additional Skills: Strong knowledge of contemporary nursing care theories, excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills, along with financial acumen to manage budgets effectively.
