We are seeking a Master Teacher - Mathematics Specialist to join our team at Gwinnett County Public Schools. As a key member of our instructional staff, you will be responsible for delivering high-quality mathematics instruction to students in grades 8-12.

About the Role

The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in mathematics education, with experience in curriculum design and implementation. You will be expected to work closely with colleagues to develop and refine mathematics curriculum, as well as provide coaching and support to teachers in implementing effective mathematics instructional strategies.

Responsibilities
  • Design and deliver high-quality mathematics lessons and units that align with state and national standards
  • Collaborate with teachers and other educational specialists to develop and refine mathematics curriculum
  • Provide coaching and support to teachers in implementing effective mathematics instructional strategies
  • Analyze student data to inform instruction and make data-driven decisions
  • Maintain accurate records and reports related to student progress and achievement
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in mathematics or a related field
  • Valid teaching certification in mathematics (grades 8-12)
  • At least 3 years of experience in teaching mathematics (grades 8-12)
  • Experience in curriculum design and implementation
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
