As a dedicated solo Class A CDL truck driver, you will be responsible for delivering goods to customers within a 25-mile radius, operating a tractor-trailer combination, and ensuring compliance with federal and state regulations.

Key Responsibilities
  • Operate a tractor-trailer combination to transport goods to customers within a designated area
  • Ensure compliance with federal and state regulations, including hours of service, weight limits, and safety standards
  • Perform pre- and post-trip inspections of the vehicle to ensure it is in good working condition
  • Load and unload freight, or assist in the loading/unloading of freight as required by the customer
  • Maintain accurate records and logs, including hours of service, fuel consumption, and vehicle maintenance
Requirements
  • Minimum 21 years of age
  • Pass a Ryder drug test
  • Pass a Ryder background and motor vehicle check, including drug and alcohol verification from previous employers for the last 3 years
  • Pass a DOT physical
  • Pass a Ryder road test
  • Provide a valid Class A CDL and endorsements for the position
  • Have at least 9 months of verifiable experience in a tractor-trailer or comparable vehicle within the past 3 years, or 2 years of experience within the last 5 years, or 5 years of experience within the last 10 years
