Aircraft Mechanic II Job Description

Kay and Associates, Inc. is seeking a highly skilled Aircraft Mechanic II to join our team. As a key member of our maintenance team, you will be responsible for performing routine and complex maintenance tasks on aircraft, including repairs, modifications, and inspections.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Perform routine and complex maintenance tasks on aircraft, including repairs, modifications, and inspections
  • Diagnose and troubleshoot malfunctions in aircraft systems
  • Repair and replace aircraft components, including engines, sheet metal, and structural components
  • Inspect and test aircraft systems to ensure proper function
  • Document maintenance activities and record keeping
  • Collaborate with other maintenance personnel to ensure smooth operation of aircraft
  • Perform other duties as assigned by supervisor
Requirements:
  • Three years of aviation maintenance experience
  • Individual (I) Aircraft Maintenance Qualification
  • Ability to work shift schedules as required
  • Ability to pass a background check and obtain a security clearance
  • Ability to climb ladders, raised platforms, and aircraft
  • Ability to use hand and power tools
  • Ability to handle small parts
  • Ability to pass employment physicals
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Five or more years of H-1 rotary wing experience
  • Seven or more years of rotary wing maintenance experience
  • Familiarity with NAVAIR IETMS
  • Four or more years of experience with NALCOMIS/OOMA
  • Basic Corrosion Control Course
  • Quality Assurance Safety Observer (QASO)
