Job Overview
As a Homeless Support Associate at Caring For The Hungry And Homeless, you will play a vital role in providing direct care and guidance to adults of all genders who are homeless and guests of our Jan Peek House shelter.

Caring For The Hungry And Homeless is a non-profit organization that focuses on housing and food equity. Our mission is to provide a safe and structured environment for our clients, while also addressing their basic needs such as clothing, food, and personal care items.

Key Responsibilities
• Provide direct care, guidance, and supervision to adults of all genders who are homeless and guests of our shelter.
• Conduct initial intakes and enter client information into our case management system.
• Maintain a safe and structured environment by greeting and assessing clients, ensuring they follow our rules and procedures.
• Develop good relationships with clients and contribute to the development of a positive atmosphere.
• Ensure clients' basic needs are met, including distributing clothing, linens, and personal care items, and preparing healthy snacks and meals.
• Draft reports, including narratives and incidents about client behavior, activity, and concerns.
• Maintain regular and timely communication with colleagues and supervisors.

Requirements
• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Excellent oral and written communication skills.
• Ability to work in a team and multi-task.
• Excellent technology skills.
• Ability to work with a diverse population, showing sensitivity to marginalized individuals and communities, and client trauma.

Compensation
The estimated salary for this position is $40,000 - $50,000 per year, depending on experience.
