We are seeking a highly skilled Occupational Therapist to join our team at Temple Rehabilitation Hospital. As a member of our interdisciplinary team, you will play a vital role in providing comprehensive physical medicine and rehabilitation programs to patients in need of continued care to recover completely.
About the Role
As an Occupational Therapist at Temple Rehabilitation Hospital, you will be responsible for assessing patients' needs, identifying and initiating appropriate occupational therapy interventions, and working cooperatively with other patient team personnel in maintaining standards for professional occupational therapy practice and interdisciplinary teamwork.
Key Responsibilities
- Assume responsibility and accountability for the care of patients being treated by Certified Occupational Therapist Assistants, rehabilitation technicians, and occupational therapy students.
- Assess patients' needs and develop individualized treatment plans to achieve optimal outcomes.
- Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to ensure seamless care coordination and communication.
- Monitor and evaluate treatment effectiveness, making adjustments as needed to ensure patient progress.
- Participate in quality improvement initiatives to enhance patient care and outcomes.
Requirements
- Current licensure as an Occupational Therapist in Texas.
- Previous experience in occupational therapy, preferably in a rehabilitation setting.
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work collaboratively with patients, families, and healthcare teams.
- Current CPR/BLS certification.
