Nutrition Specialist

Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly motivated and dedicated Nutrition Specialist to join our team at Discovery Point. As a key member of our staff, you will be responsible for preparing healthy meals and snacks for the children enrolled in our child care center. Your attention to detail and commitment to providing a safe and nurturing environment will make a significant impact on the lives of our children and their families.

Responsibilities:

• Prepare and serve healthy meals and snacks according to approved menus and under proper health and safety methods
• Ensure compliance with federal CACFP standards, if applicable
• Assist in classrooms when needed
• Maintain a clean and safe kitchen environment

Requirements:

• Ability to be trained in food service certification
• Ability to be trained in CPR, Fire Safety, and Nutrition
• Must be able to meet state background check requirements
