We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Registered Nurse to join our Intensive Care Unit as a Rapid Response Registered Nurse. This is a variable part-time position with varying shifts.
Key Responsibilities- Provide critical care support to the nursing staff in all areas of the hospital.
- Respond to Rapid Response Team calls and activate Code STEMI, Sepsis, and Stroke as appropriate.
- Promote cohesive work teams and constructive conflict resolution, actively supporting intra and interdisciplinary teamwork.
- Ensure a culture of safety and adherence to clear expectations based on standards of care defined by professional and regulatory organizations.
- Collect and analyze data of rapid responses and proactively conduct rounds on nursing units to identify, assess, intervene, and document at-risk patients.
- Demonstrate effective communication, conflict resolution, team building, and leadership skills.
- Participate in updating and upholding standards of practice.
- Baccalaureate degree in nursing preferred.
- Minimum 3 years acute care nursing experience, with critical care or emergency department experience.
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
- National clinical certification in assigned area of practice within 6 months of employment (CCRN or CEN).
- Demonstrated ability to work productively and effectively within a complex environment.
- Ability to handle multiple/changing priorities and deal with stresses associated with a patient care environment.
- ACLS or other technical certifications as per area assigned.
