About the Role

At Factory Mutual Insurance Company, we are seeking a highly skilled Fire Protection Engineer to join our team. As a Fire Protection Engineer, you will play a critical role in ensuring the safety and integrity of our clients' properties.

Key Responsibilities
  • Plan, conduct, and direct the development and evaluation of approved scientific and engineering projects related to fire protection systems.
  • Develop and implement solutions to problems of property loss and loss control for use by FM Global and their clients.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure effective project management and delivery.
  • Communicate complex technical information to clients and stakeholders through written reports and presentations.
  • Travel domestically and internationally to conduct site visits, attend technical conferences, and work with clients.
Requirements
  • Master's degree in a technical field or Bachelor's degree with 3+ years of related experience.
  • Strong knowledge of fire protection equipment, pumps, valves, and related research, design, or manufacturing industry experience.
  • Excellent project management, written and verbal communication, and computer proficiency skills.
  • Ability to work effectively in a team environment and provide exceptional customer service.
  • Familiarity with third-party product certification and industry standards such as FM Approvals, ISO, NFPA, or other international fire protection standards.
