We are seeking a highly skilled Physician Assistant to join our team at US Oncology, Inc. as a Medical Oncology Specialist. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in oncology and a passion for delivering high-quality patient care.
Key Responsibilities- Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate care for patients with cancer or related diagnoses.
- Initiate and document appropriate interventions, evaluate and record patient/family response, and prescribe therapies as indicated.
- Perform procedures after appropriate training and assess patient/family needs, providing education and promoting wellness.
- Incorporate evidence-based research into clinical practice and develop knowledge of reimbursement procedures and documentation requirements.
- Complete patient charge capture and medical record documentation in a timely fashion and may provide case management for patients and their families.
- May promote/provide staff education and perform other duties as assigned.
- Successful completion of an accredited Physician Assistant program.
- Current NCCPA certification.
- Level 1 is entry-level and typically requires 0-3 years of experience, Level 2 requires 3 years of experience, and Level Sr requires 6 years of experience.
- Current state license as a Physician Assistant in practicing state and current basic life support (BLS)/CPR certification required.
