Respiratory Therapist

Sutter Health is seeking a skilled Respiratory Therapist to join our team in Lakeport, California.

The Respiratory Therapist will function under the direction of the physician and collaborate with the RN to coordinate patient care activities. The ideal candidate will interact with various hospital personnel, patients, and families, utilizing customer service philosophies while maintaining confidentiality.

• Perform respiratory care procedures and cardiopulmonary diagnostic tests on a routine and emergency basis.
• Collaborate with the RN to coordinate patient care activities.
• Interact with various hospital personnel, patients, and families, utilizing customer service philosophies while maintaining confidentiality.

• CERTIFICATION & LICENSURE: RCP-Respiratory Care Practitioner, RRT-Registered Respiratory Therapist, BLS-Basic Life Support Healthcare Provider, NRP-Neonatal Resuscitation Provider, ACLS-Advanced Cardiac Life Support.
• PREFERRED EXPERIENCE: One year prior acute care, emergency, and floor care experience preferred.
• SKILLS AND KNOWLEDGE: An understanding of acute and subacute, medical terminology, anatomy and physiology, assessment skills and criteria, operating principles and practical application of respiratory equipment, emergency procedures, and various respiratory drugs and their side effects is required.

This position may regularly work, store, prepare, receive, unpack, transport, dispose of, or administer drug(s) identified as hazardous, or potentially hazardous, by the National Institute for Occupational Safety and Health (NIOSH) for purposes of USP 800.

Pay Range is $44.18 to $54.92 / hour.
