Job Summary

Medasource is seeking a local contract Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant to provide direct patient care services under the supervision of an Occupational Therapist. The ideal candidate will have exceptional communication and patient care skills, with the ability to work independently and manage time effectively.

Key Responsibilities
  • Perform direct patient care occupational therapy services under the supervision of an Occupational Therapist.
  • Assist with the training of field work and practicum students, as well as provide guidance and supervision of support personnel.
  • Participate in related activities in support of patient care, education, and department operations.
Requirements
  • Graduation from an accredited occupational therapy assistant program, or equivalent education from outside the US.
  • Current certification by the National Board for Certification in Occupational Therapy (NBCOT) is preferred.
  • Certification as an Occupational Therapy Assistant in the State of Indiana is required.
  • Basic Life Support certification through the AHA is required.
  • 3 months of experience in Acute Care Inpatient or one clinical rotation during fieldwork in the same setting.
