About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Business Intelligence Developer to join our team at Abacus Technologies. As a Business Intelligence Developer, you will play a key role in building and maintaining platforms that enable our mission to bring visibility and action to all aspects of business data.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop well-designed, testable, and efficient code using best practice software development principles.
  • Develop and maintain automation applications to streamline business processes.
  • Convert legacy code bases to current standards to ensure compatibility and efficiency.
  • Ensure quality control standards are met through rigorous testing and debugging.
  • Stay current with developer trends and tools to ensure our platforms remain cutting-edge.
  • Collaborate with the development team to deliver Magnify platform features that meet business needs.
  • Design applications with a focus on user experience and usability.
  • Work with analysts to display reports and insights that inform business decisions.
  • Diagnose and fix bugs to ensure our platforms remain stable and reliable.
Requirements
  • Up to 2 years of work experience in software or web development and complex problem-solving.
  • Four-year degree or bootcamp certificate in development.
  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to understand complex issues and how individual tasks contribute to a solution.
  • Comfortable working in a fast-paced environment with quick pivots.
  • Problem-solving skills with the ability to be coached and directed by other teammates.
  • Eager to continue education and stay up-to-date with industry trends.
  • Organized with a keen attention to detail.
  • Working knowledge of Git and proficiency in at least two of the following: JavaScript, Python, SQL, RESTful APIs.
