Key Responsibilities:
- Supervise and support crew members in the installation of underground telecommunications infrastructure, including fiber optic systems.
- Operate Horizontal Directional Drills for the efficient installation of underground conduits.
- Utilize various heavy machinery such as Backhoes, Trenchers, and Digger Derricks safely on job sites.
- Identify and locate existing underground utilities to ensure safe and effective installation.
- Manage site safety by directing traffic and coordinating equipment movement in public areas.
- Restore work sites to their original condition post-installation.
- Conduct inspections of equipment and work quality to meet industry standards.
- Address and resolve any issues or complaints that arise during the project.
- Perform general construction tasks, including physical labor and the use of hand tools.
Candidate Requirements:
- Must be at least 18 years of age and authorized to work in the United States.
- Previous experience in the Telecommunications or Utility Construction sector is essential.
- A valid Commercial Driver's License (CDL) is required.
- Proficient in operating various utility vehicles and equipment safely.
- Ability to read and interpret utility maps and blueprints.
- Strong communication skills to interact effectively with team members and clients.
- Capability to maintain positive working relationships and foster teamwork.
- Physical ability to lift and carry weights up to 75 lbs as needed.
- Willingness to work flexible hours, including overtime and weekends when necessary.
- Commitment to maintaining a safe work environment in all weather conditions.
