Job Summary:

The Housekeeping Specialist plays a vital role in maintaining a clean and safe environment for residents and staff at Davis Development properties. This position is responsible for ensuring that assigned areas are kept clean and tidy, including but not limited to vacuuming, wet mopping, damp dusting, and spot cleaning. The successful candidate will also be responsible for proper disposal of general trash and waste, as well as maintaining a safe and clean environment with necessary supplies and equipment.

Key Responsibilities:

• Prepares assigned areas for upcoming move-ins by ensuring they are clean and ready for occupancy.
• Keeps track of supplies and equipment and notifies the Maintenance Supervisor when low on materials.
• Follows all applicable safety procedures, policies, and manufacturer instructions to ensure a safe working environment.
• Uses proper aseptic techniques and safety precautions in performing all unit duties.
• Maintains a safe, clean environment with necessary supplies and equipment.
• Communicates effectively with residents, families, co-workers, and maintains a courteous professional manner.

Requirements:

• One or more years of multifamily housekeeping experience preferred.
• High school diploma or equivalent, preferable.
• Effective verbal and written communication skills via all communication channels.
• Familiarity with general and departmental safety requirements.
• Ability to lift tools, equipment, and other items in the unit (approximately 30 lbs).
• Must be able to climb on and off ladders.
