Resin Impregnation Specialist

We are seeking a highly skilled Resin Impregnation Specialist to join our team in Cleveland, Ohio. As a key member of our production team, you will be responsible for operating the vacuum pressure impregnation system, ensuring high-quality armatures and stators are manufactured according to our strict quality standards.
Responsibilities- Operate the VPI tank safely and efficiently to prevent equipment or component damage.
- Servicing the equipment and communicating maintenance requirements for the equipment, including process ovens.
- Assemble/disassemble all plates for the roll bake process.
- Perform and record equipment servicing activities as prescribed in the VPI Manufacturing Instructions.
- Assist the winding department with various tasks, as instructed by the supervisor or work leader.
- Complete cycles of the VPI operation, which may require delaying breaks or lunch due to cycle completion routines.
- Grind components as required.
- Maintain VPI tanks clean and ensure all systems (oven and rotisseries) are functioning properly.
- Bake armatures/frames in ovens (load and unload).
- Take resin samples for quality control purposes.
- High School graduate or equivalent course work in skilled crafts or trades training.
- One-year minimum industry experience in manufacturing or transportation and/or training.
- Three months of minimum experience working with VPI systems under the guidance of an experienced trainer is required before working alone.
- Possess basic ship math skills and ability to read and interpret blueprints and diagrams.
- Regularly required to talk and hear.
- Regularly required to stand/sit for 8 hours at a time, with minimal breaks.
- Regularly required to lift and/or move up to 25 pounds, and occasionally lift and/or move 50 pounds.
- Regularly required to see and observe small handwriting, labels, and components.
- Regularly required to operate heavy machinery, including but not limited to forklifts and cranes.
- Required to wear steel-toe shoes and safety glasses at all times.
$55,000 - $65,000 per year, depending on experience and qualifications.
