Under the direct supervision of a Registered Technologist, assist in the diagnostic imaging of patients, including infant through geriatric populations. Perform patient transport, equipment transport, and messenger functions. Clean radiographic rooms, mobile equipment, and cassettes. Uphold the mission, vision, values, and customer service standards of The MetroHealth System.
Responsibilities:
Assist in the diagnostic imaging process, ensuring patient safety and comfort. Transport patients and equipment as needed. Perform cleaning and restocking of radiographic rooms, mobile equipment, and cassettes. Maintain a clean and organized work environment. Provide excellent customer service to patients, families, and staff.
Requirements:
High school diploma or equivalent required. Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from the American Heart Association (AHA) within the standard probationary period. Ability to work effectively in a team environment. Excellent verbal communication skills. Presents a professional appearance. Basic computer skills.
Preferred Qualifications:
Coursework in Medical Terminology and Anatomy. Healthcare or customer service experience.
Physical Requirements:
May sit, stand, stoop, bend, and ambulate intermittently during the day. May need to lift, pull, or push over 50 pounds. May need to sit or stand for extended periods. Normal visual range with or without correction. Normal audio range with or without correction.
