As the Manager of Engineering and Facilities, you will be the primary resource for all mechanical operations within our Distribution Center. Your role encompasses the upkeep of all machinery to ensure optimal performance and minimal operational interruptions, alongside the development of a skilled team of mechanics and electricians.

This position includes responsibilities related to building upkeep, repair, and service management; executing corrective, predictive, and preventive maintenance protocols for material handling equipment, control systems, employee scanning devices, conveyor systems, and storage structures; as well as overseeing the maintenance of the premises, which includes HVAC, electrical, and plumbing systems.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Directly supervising all Maintenance Mechanics and indirectly overseeing non-exempt maintenance personnel.
  • Administering preventive maintenance initiatives and ensuring compliance with schedules to reduce downtime.
  • Offering technical guidance in the domains of sortation, electrical, and mechanical systems.
  • Conducting quality assessments of mechanic tasks and communicating findings.
  • Acquiring and evaluating contractor proposals for repairs and facility enhancements, coordinating projects to align with business objectives while ensuring adherence to quality, scheduling, and budgetary standards.
  • Overseeing the repair and maintenance of equipment, prioritizing safety and production-related work orders.
  • A Bachelor's degree is preferred, but not mandatory.
  • Availability for rotational, 24/7 on-call support for operational needs.
  • Flexibility to work a full-time schedule, including days, evenings, weekends, and holidays.
