Job Overview

Fleet Technician

Lone Star Instrumentation & Electric Corporation is actively seeking a dedicated full-time Fleet Technician with proven experience in managing a substantial fleet of vehicles in compliance with DOT regulations. The ideal candidate will oversee maintenance and minor repairs for all fleet vehicles, demonstrating a commitment to enhancing the quality and safety of the workplace.

Key Responsibilities

  • Report directly to the Diesel Mechanic and provide assistance with various tasks.
  • Support service operations by collaborating with the mechanic.
  • Conduct preventative maintenance, including engine tune-ups, oil changes, brake replacements, tire rotations, and filter replacements.
  • Perform test drives of vehicles.
  • Utilize a checklist to ensure thorough inspection of all critical components.
  • Execute other related tasks as assigned.

Qualifications

  • Familiarity with standard concepts, practices, and procedures in fleet maintenance.
  • Ability to engage in heavy physical activities, including bending, stooping, reaching, climbing, pulling, and lifting up to 75 lbs.
  • Possession of a CDL is advantageous.
  • Exceptional communication, interpersonal, and leadership skills.
  • Proficiency in English; fluency in Spanish is a plus.
  • High School Diploma or equivalent is required.
  • Must hold a valid driver's license with a clean driving record.

Salary is commensurate with experience.
