About the Role

This is a 36-bed high acuity unit that cares for a variety of surgical patients, including those undergoing general surgery, gastrointestinal, head/neck, and vascular procedures. As a General Surgery Med Surg Nurse PRN, you will have the opportunity to develop your skills and expertise in post-operative care, recovery, and nursing skills.

Responsibilities
  • Provide direct patient care within the scope of the Registered Nurse Practice Act
  • Identify nursing problems and develop individualized patient care plans
  • Participate in performance improvement activities and contribute to the goals of the hospital's mission and vision statement
  • Make staff assignments based on patient need, acuity, and staff skill
  • Serve as a role model and clinical resource for the staff
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need to have a Graduate of an Accredited School of Professional Nursing and be able to work in a fast-paced environment.
