Overview
As a vital member of the healthcare team, you will deliver expert care to patients within the Emergency Department. Your role involves assessing, planning, organizing, and evaluating care while employing critical thinking skills. You will be responsible for making informed judgments and ensuring accurate documentation.
Key Responsibilities
  • Administer personalized care by assessing the effectiveness of interventions, identifying significant changes in patient conditions, and adjusting care plans accordingly.
  • Provide tailored care and respond appropriately to notable changes in patient health.
  • Assess the success of care provided and implement necessary adjustments to optimize patient outcomes.
  • Establish safe, evidence-based interventions and prioritize care delivery, including medication administration.
  • Collaborate effectively with patients, their families, and healthcare team members to achieve the best possible outcomes. Serve as a resource for peers and other healthcare professionals.
  • Communicate patient status through various means, ensuring appropriate actions are taken for patient welfare.
  • Monitor patients to identify care needs, implementing interventions directly or coordinating with other healthcare team members.
  • Work with colleagues to ensure patient and family engagement in discharge planning, addressing identified needs through education or referrals.
  • Identify and propose solutions to challenges in patient care delivery through quality improvement initiatives, ongoing education, research, and peer review.
  • Perform additional duties as required or assigned.

Qualifications
  • Associate's degree with a minimum of 3 years of relevant clinical experience in pre-hospital or in-hospital emergency care preferred.
  • Strong communication skills are essential, with the ability to collaborate effectively as part of a multidisciplinary team.

Required Licensure/Certifications
  • Current National Registry of Emergency Medical Technician's Paramedic Certification (EMT-P)
  • Current New Hampshire Paramedic License
  • Current Basic Life Support (BLS)
  • Current Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS), Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS), and Moderate Sedation (to be completed within 6 months of hire)
  • Current Pre-Hospital Trauma Life Support (PHTLS), International Trauma Life Support (ITLS), or proof of audited Advanced Trauma Life Support (ATLS) or audited Trauma Nursing Core Course (TNCC)
